WELCOME
I am a dedicated Special Education teacher proudly serving within the District of Columbia Public Schools, where I hold dual licenses in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. It is an honor to be part of a dynamic Special Education team that has enriched my professional journey with invaluable experiences. My commitment to fostering students' learning began in Fairfax County Public Schools, where I taught self-contained classes as a Special Education teacher.
My educational background is a tapestry of diverse disciplines: I earned an associate's degree in administration of justice and a certificate in Legal Studies from Northern Virginia Community College, followed by a bachelor's degree in administration of justice from George Mason University. My passion for education led me to pursue a master’s in education with a specialization in Integrating Technology in Schools, coupled with another master’s from Cambridge College in Massachusetts focusing on Special Education and General Studies.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I cherish the simple joys in life—immersing myself in video games and creating lasting memories with my family, which includes my wonderful children, grandchildren, and my devoted husband, Gregory. I also fondly remember my dearly beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Mikey, who brought immense joy to our lives.
